# Browsing & Installing Tools

The Marketplace is where you can discover and install additional capabilities for your Crew assistant. Tools extend what Crew can do — from specialized research tools to business workflow templates.

## Accessing the Marketplace

Click **Marketplace** in the sidebar to browse available tools.

## Two Sections

### Official Tools

Curated tools verified by the Crew team. These are organized by category:

### Community Tools

Tools created and published by other Crew users. Browse by popularity, newest, or free tools.

## Installing a Tool

1. Browse or search for a tool
2. Click **Install**
3. If the tool requires an API key, you'll be prompted to enter it
4. The tool appears in your **Tools → Marketplace** tab

### Tools Requiring API Keys

Some tools connect to external services and need your own API key:

* **Perplexity AI Search** — Requires Perplexity API key
* **Trello** — Requires Trello API key and token
* **Fireflies** — Requires Fireflies API key
* **Canva Design** — Requires Canva client ID and secret
* **Gamma Slides** — Requires Gamma API key
* **fal.ai** — Requires fal.ai key
* **Gemini Video** — Requires Google Gemini API key
* **Ghost Blog** — Requires Ghost admin API key and URL
* **Finnhub** — Requires Finnhub API key

### Tools That Work Immediately

Many tools need no credentials — they're AI workflow templates that guide Crew:

* **Sales Assistant** — Account research, call prep, outreach drafting
* **Customer Support** — Ticket triage, escalation detection, response drafting
* **Finance Assistant** — Journal entries, reconciliation, variance analysis
* **Legal Assistant** — Contract review, NDA analysis, compliance checks
* **Marketing Assistant** — Content creation, campaign planning, brand voice
* **Product Manager** — Feature specs, roadmaps, user research
* **Data Analyst** — Data exploration, statistical analysis, visualization
* **Research Assistant** — Scientific research problem definition
* **Resume Builder** — Professional resume creation
* **UI Design Guide** — Web interface design principles
* **SQL Tools** — Database query writing and optimization
* **Document Co-authoring** — Iterative document writing
* **Internal Communications** — 3P updates, newsletters, FAQs

## Managing Installed Tools

### Enable/Disable

Go to **Tools → Marketplace** tab to toggle installed tools on or off. Disabling a tool prevents Crew from using it, but doesn't uninstall it.

### Uninstall

Click the uninstall button on any installed tool to remove it completely.

## Searching & Filtering

* **Search bar**: Find tools by name
* **Category filter**: Browse by category (All, New, Search, Productivity, Business, etc.)
* **Sort options**: Popular, Newest, Free

## Tips

* **Start with free tools**: Many powerful tools (Sales, Finance, Legal assistants) are free and need no API keys
* **Check the description**: Each tool page explains what it does and how to use it
* **Combine tools**: Install multiple tools that complement each other — e.g., Data Analyst + Finance Assistant
* **API key management**: Store API keys securely in Crew's credential manager — they're encrypted at rest
