# Email (Gmail & Outlook)

Crew can manage your email from any connected email service — search your inbox, read messages, compose and send emails, and reply to threads, all through natural conversation.

## Gmail

### Requirements

* Google account connected (see [Google Workspace](/service-connections/google-workspace.md))

### Search Emails

Find specific emails quickly:

> "Find emails from <john@company.com> about the quarterly report."

> "Show me unread emails from today."

> "Search for emails with 'invoice' in the subject from last month."

> "Find emails with PDF attachments from the finance team."

Crew supports Gmail's full search syntax, including filters like `from:`, `to:`, `subject:`, `has:attachment`, `after:`, and `before:`.

### Read Emails

> "Read the latest email from Sarah."

> "What does the email about the project deadline say?"

Crew shows the sender, subject, date, and full body content.

### Send Emails

> "Send an email to <marketing@company.com> with the subject 'Campaign Update' and let them know the new landing page is live."

> "Email John and Sarah about the meeting rescheduling. Make it professional but friendly."

Crew automatically:

* Formats your message as a clean HTML email
* Adds a professional layout
* Supports CC and BCC recipients

### Reply to Emails

> "Reply to the last email from David saying we'll have the numbers ready by Friday."

> "Reply to the thread about the budget proposal and confirm I'm available for the call."

Replies maintain the original email thread so the conversation stays organized.

## Outlook

### Requirements

* Microsoft account connected (see [Microsoft 365](/service-connections/microsoft-365.md))

### All Gmail Features, Plus More

Outlook supports everything Gmail does, plus:

### Mark as Read

> "Mark the latest email from the vendor as read."

### Move to Folders

> "Move the invoice email to my 'Finance' folder."

### Delete Emails

> "Delete the promotional emails from last week."

### List Folders

> "Show me all my email folders."

> "How many unread emails are in my Inbox?"

## Practical Email Workflows

### Morning Email Triage

> "Check my inbox for any urgent or important emails from today. Summarize the top 5 and flag anything that needs a response."

### Bulk Response Draft

> "Find all unanswered emails from this week that are waiting for my reply. Draft responses for each one — keep them professional and concise."

### Email + Calendar Combo

> "Check if I got a meeting invitation from Acme Corp. If so, check my calendar for conflicts and reply accepting or suggesting an alternative time."

### Research + Email

> "Search the web for the latest pricing of Salesforce Enterprise plan. Then email our procurement team with the findings and recommend whether to renew."

### Follow-Up Automation

> "Find sent emails from last week that haven't received a reply. Draft polite follow-up emails for each one."

## Tips

* **Specify the account** if you have multiple: "Send from my work email..."
* **Be specific about recipients**: Include email addresses when possible for accuracy
* **Review before sending**: For important emails, ask Crew to "draft" instead of "send" — review the content, then tell Crew to send it
* **Use with scheduled tasks**: Set up a daily scheduled task to check for important emails and send you a summary on Telegram every morning
